White and green handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern on the saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree has bichitrapuri checkered pattern woven on the checks body with rudraksha designs woven on the saree borders. The floral and animal designs on the pallu add to the beauty of this handloom saree.
