Description :

Brown and maroon colour handwoven Sambalpuri cotton saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with geometric circular motifs on the body inside squares. Rudraksha dubby border selected for this saree. Pallu is woven with ikat flower design adding to the beauty of this handloom saree. The saree gives little crispy feel to hand as starch is applied to yarns during weaving.
