This vintage black chenille suit appears to be a Saks Fifth Avenue private label ensemble that dates from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. The shells are black chenille knit, the fiber content of which is unknown. The unlined jacket is embellished with black ribbon that is whipstitched around all the borders. The A-line skirt is a faux wrap design and is also embellished with black ribbon; it is lined with black fabric. The skirt has been professionally altered to make the waist larger (this alteration could be reversed if needed). No size label, but according to our sizing chart, the suit overall is a size 14.
