Created in the old Brighton studio from a contemporary specially commissioned embroidered and beaded floral tulle fabric overlaid on a pure silk organza in a muted French grey shade.

A low scooped picture neckline is framed by a narrow shawl collar. The pagoda style sleeves fall to just below the elbow, and the bodice jacket is neatly fitted to the waist with a charming fluted peplum flaring to a few inches below. The effect is translucent, which means it will need to be worn over an undergarment....a simple camisole bodice, a corset, or a fine silk blouse (one of our drawstring neckline silk blouses works very well, as seen in a couple of the images).

The jacket closes at the front with a row of 5 covered buttons.

Constructed with French or bound seams throughout. 

This is a one-off unrepeatable piece that has just been used in a few photo-shoots, and is in good dry-cleaned eminently wearable condition. There may be a couple of loose stitches buried in the embroidery that are completely invisible when worn, and there may be one or two very faint marks on the silk under-layer commensurate with its sample garment status.  It would make a stunning addition to a costume wardrobe. (I have included a few images from the photo-shoots to demonstrate how lovely it is when worn). An opportunity to acquire a couture quality piece at a vastly reduced price as I now from choice very rarely make this type of garment.

A UK size 8-10

I have given the actual garment measurements below so you can ascertain for yourself how it will work with your own measurements. Remember to double the bodice figures to give maximum circumferences, and whilst this gown is meant to be close fitting, remember to allow an amount of ease over your particular body measurements....these delicate fabrics should not be squeezed into or too much strain will be put on the seams.

**A polite request to please not order to see if you can fit into it if the measurements below make you suspect it will realistically be too tight. Attempting to fit into it in these circumstances is liable to cause damage which in turn means you wont be able to return it for a refund**

Construction The jacket has a full silk organza lining, but it should be noted that the overall effect is still translucent so to achieve opacity it will need to be worn over a separate garment ( not supplied) 

Care; This synthetic fibre and silk gown should be dry-cleaned by an evening wear specialist only.
