Ya Rabbi Al-Baqiyat Us-Salihat, Rustic Tea Sporadic.
-—————
This is an Islamic artwork. It features a meditational chant in glorification of God in Islam, used in prayers, supplications as well as dzikr, an act of remembrance and to invoke God.
Calligraphed in large Arabic Thuluth script, it recites a form of invocation which means: Ya Rabbi: Oh My God / Lord!
Calligraphed in small Arabic Naskh-freestyle script, it recites what is known as Al- Baqiyat Us-Salihat: The Enduring Everlasting Graceful and Prosperous Deeds. Here it recites and means:
Subhanallah,
Walhamdulillah,
Walaa ilaha illallah,
Wallahu akbar,
Walaa Hawlawalaa Quwata illabillah,
Al-Aliyyil A’zhim.
Glory (with Infinite Perfection) be to God,
And Praises (with all Greatness) be to God,
And there is no deity (worthy of worship) except God (Only Allah),
And God is the Greatest (Full of infinite Greatness),
And There is no power, and no strength (neither shall exist) except with God,
(The God which truly is) The Supreme Almighty, The exalted Most High.
It is calligraphed over a background made of tea marks in form of sporadic washes and blotches.
