This time Tamiya gets hold of a Parma Chevy Nascar body and bundles in their own decals to make another Tamiya worthy model. I don't know, but the model seem to be a copy of the car driven in the 1990 file "Days of Thunder".
All the previous Group C models came with a black Sport Tuned motor, but in this kit Tamiya replaced the decent Sport Tuned with the great Dynatech 01R. Today the Daytona Thunder is a sought after kit because of the rarity, link to Parma and the motor in the kit.
The Daytona Thunder kit has never been reissued (as of Nov 2019)
