The A229 Ultra-W is VIOFO's first 4K waterproof rear camera system — a major upgrade from the A229 Pro-W, which paired a 4K front with a 2K waterproof rear. Now both cameras record true 4K (3840×2160), and the waterproof rear features an F1.5 super aperture for exceptional low-light performance. If you drive a pickup truck, SUV with tinted glass, work van, or trailer and need an exterior-mounted rear camera, the Ultra-W delivers 4K clarity that weathers everything the road throws at it.

4K IP67 Waterproof Rear — F1.5 Super Aperture

The waterproof rear camera carries an IP67 rating: completely dustproof and protected against temporary water submersion. The F1.5 super aperture allows significantly more light to reach the sensor compared to the previous generation — delivering sharper 4K HDR footage at night and in adverse weather conditions. Mount it on the tailgate, bumper, license plate frame, or any exterior surface, and it performs through rain, snow, dust, mud, and road spray.

Dual Sony STARVIS 2 — 4K HDR on Both Channels

Both cameras use Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with simultaneous HDR. The front camera uses the IMX678 (1/1.8-inch, 8MP) — the same flagship sensor found across the A229 Ultra series. License plates remain readable in both directions day and night. 5GHz Wi-Fi, Quad-Mode GPS, voice control, and a CPL filter are all included.
