D’Orlan Jewellers Ltd. was founded in Toronto, Canada by Maurice Bradden in 1957. Mr Bradden produced his own label from this location and also supplied the jewellery for the Boucher company in Mew York. The line was known for for its high quality and workmanship. In 1984 he began producing the jewellery for Nina Ricci.
This is a fabulous gold toned and enamel pendant necklace that ends in a coiled "Celtic Knot" inspired design. The enamel is a deep cream and very glossy. The pendant is suspended on a coiled gold plated gilt snake chain that balances the weight of the pendant perfectly. It is a simple and striking piece that really showcases the craftmanship put into vintage costume jewellery.
The pendant measures 3" x 3" and is suspended by a loop and ball from from the chain that measures 16" from end to end. It closes with a clasp and the logo plate can be found on the back of the medallion.
