The faceplate features the Association’s winged insignia with blue enamel lettering, flanked by a curb chain and vintage clasp. Below the insignia, “INST. N.Y.” denotes the Association’s incorporation in New York, a common hallmark for mid-century pilot organizations, even if members hailed from across the country. A rare piece of civilian aviation history.
