Overview

Since the introduction of DoIP based vehicles, logging information from CAN Based networks cannot be done directly via the vehicles J1962 connector anymore. This cable set allows the user to 'break into' those Networks to monitor the CAN traffic on Body, Chassis, Comfort and Powertrain networks via the Gateway Module (GWM) 

Cable Information

• OBD2 Power Splitter – Connects to the J1962 of the vehicle and has a female pinned J962 connection also (i.e. To plug in a Service tool like Pathfinder or TOPIx Cloud) and allows (with its 12v and Gnd supply cables) to be connected to JLR VCI GWM Interface Cable
• JLR VCI GWM Interface Cable – Connects its 12v and Gnd cables to OBD2 Power Splitter (For power). It has a female pinned J1962 connector, with which you can connect any other device (i.e. A logging device) but is the has D-Type connectors to connect to the Green or Grey Harnesses depending on what networks you are planning to monitor.
• JLR GWM Grey Breakout Harness – Breakout for GWM grey connector and allows JLR VCI GWM Interface Cable to connect to the D-Types.
• JLR GWM Green Breakout Harness - Breakout for GWM green connector and allows JLR VCI GWM Interface Cable to connect to the D-Types.
