Bibi Den's Tshibayi and the Best - Sensible LPReleased in 1983, this second album from this Ivory Coast musician is a real gem from the era. Using synths and guitars, the band's mix of Afro and Carribean rhythms with zouk and boogie makes for uncontrollable hip shaking and head nodding from listeners. Denis went on to record for Rough Trade, and worked with Adrian Sherwood, but these opening musical salves show him at his most magical.
