The BL2700 Cu ECP Retrofit copper-touch cover is retrofitted over existing BL2700 ECP digital locks. Comprising an antimicrobial copper alloy keypad shield and handle, the BL2700 Cu ECP Retrofit offers an additional layer of protection on high-risk touch surfaces and helps to control the spread of viruses and pathogens without the cost of buying brand-new digital keypad locks. Please note, the BL2700 Cu ECP Retrofit kit does not come with the keypad itself and is designed to be used over an existing BL2700 ECP digital keypad lock already on site. This is a copper-touch digital lock cover, forged and machined from a high content copper alloy (at least 60% Cu content), tested to ISO 22196:2011. Copper alloy is known to kill viruses rapidly upon contact, between touches and between cleans. It also offers long term antimicrobial performance that last the lifetime of the product. Whilst having the look of brushed brass, the high copper content of the Cu-Shield means that it significantly and continuously reduces the microbial loading on touch surfaces in between existing cleaning episodes. The Cu-Shield will retain its rapid kill properties against known pathogens, despite natural oxidisation, which may occur over time.
