"In the central sequence of Nuper Verba, 15 ’Horatian Odes,’ satirist, analyst, and sometimes starter of poetry wars Kent Johnson returns to one of the origins of Western lyric in lines by turn barbed, laugh-out-loud, and delicately touching.
