AEROWEAVE

The quest to reduce weight and increase ventilation while maintaining support and protection led our designers and engineers to develop a completely new material: Aeroweave. Now in its second generation, Aeroweave fabric weaves nylon fibers with thermoplastic polymer filaments for an even lighter shoe that does not lose its original tenacity, providing the strength and support required in competition.

POWERSTRAP

While traditional Velcro closures simply join both sides of the shoe upper, in the Vento Powerstrap setup, a strap wraps around the foot, providing secure containment using only two straps. The instep and midfoot are adjustable separately for a customized fit and compression, and now these straps have been optimized to make them even lighter and more durable.

R3 SOLE

Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave also features a completely new sole, the R3, designed with an updated carbon fiber layup and a new design to save weight without compromising stiffness. With a rating of 10, the R3 is a stiff sole that provides optimal power transfer. Two large air intakes and a deep internal channel allow cooling airflow, helping with temperature management. In line with the latest bike mounting trends, the R3 sole offers a recessed cleat position, the same as all the latest Fizik models, to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, particularly suited for very aggressive forward aerodynamic positions.
