Details: Boozoo Bajou make a welcome return after last year's critically acclaimed Dust My Broom album with a follow up to their applauded 2003 compilation Juke Joint. It was well worth the wait as the downbeat dubheads once again managed to line up a smoking array of quality tracks showcasing their intrinsic affinity for all things "roots", whether reggae, soul, blues, folk, jazz or original R&B. Underplaying the mixing in their trademark laidback style they still manage to compile the varying rhythms and musical styles into the perfect summer soundtrack. Highlights include Alice Russel, The Meters, Mark Rae, Nicole Willis, Hanne Hukkelberg and John Holt as well as two exclusive new Boozoo Bajou cuts "Back Up" (featuring Stones Throw artist Oh No on the mic) and "Der Pflug" and scorching remixes of Tony Joe White's Rainy Night in Georgia" (impossible to find!) and "Dizzie" (as yet unreleased!).
