In March 2020 I began taking pictures of New York as the pandemic started. For that summer I continued to document the city as street level life came to a crawl. streets emptied. business closed. tourism died.

The pandemic was an unprecedented time for the city of New York. Lives were lost and the city was empty. I made every attempt to document the city during this dormant state.
